speaking topics
Here is Sonja's meager offering of loaves and fishes, barely enough for a small child's meal, but offered in hope that Jesus will multiply it and tender it to your individual taste the way He did the manna for the Israelites (Wisdom 16:30).
There is enough material for each of the topics listed below to satisfy requirements for short talks, keynotes and/or breakout sessions in retreat or conference format. Sonja is also happy to speak on your preferred theme; just let us know upon booking.
Upon successful contract negotiations, full color publicity photos of your topic selection will be made available to assist you with publicizing your event.

Soul of the World, the Heart as God's Dwelling Place
© 2009 Sonja Corbitt
Where does God speak to me? How can I draw Him more deeply into my heart and life?
“Make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell with them … and there I will meet with you” (Ex. 25).
Discover how the “old fashioned” trappings, rituals, and practices of the Catholic Church are scripturally rooted in the Old Testament tabernacle; how they connect you to God in the ways long for right now; how all the “outdated rules” are relevant and absolutely necessary to your quality of life and daily experience; and how your individual soul is meant to reflect all of it.
When God Breathes, How God
Produces Deep Spiritual Growth Using Your Current Circumstances and Relationships
© 2009 Sonja Corbitt
The desire to grow and thrive runs deeply through the human race. Yet the issues in our lives and relationships that we wish would change often become stagnant despite what we consider our best efforts. Change and growth are a promise of God, as inevitable as the sprouting of a bean seed that has been buried under the seeming darkness and suffocation of dirt. What I discovered about how God produces change and growth in our lives did more than surprise me; it has formed the bedrock of my entire approach to life.
The Burning Bush

God is always speaking, but we don't always hear Him. By understanding how personally God is working through us, we begin to clearly know and do His will, and appreciate how
carefully we are being transformed from faith to faith.
The Secret Place
©2000 Sonja Corbitt
A study of "secrets" in the Scriptures, what we discover through the search is a practical structure of the stages of holiness and what awaits us in the secret place.
Dew of Heaven

In this culture of economic stress, widespread depression and anxiety, high pressure, and chronic busyness, we discover that times of refreshing are not only a welcome luxury but a
spiritual discipline. Find out what provisions God makes for His children.
People of the Lie & the Spirit of Error
© Sonja Corbitt 2004
One of the saddest realities in the church today is the bored Christian. Sonja believes this is a result of a much too shallow view of sin, both in one’s ability to deal with it, as well as the
depth at which it must be dealt with. This study is a Scriptural exploration of evil and a comprehensive, applied study of the word "sin," their subtleties and permeation of the sad majority of what we are and do, and the breathtaking lack and “wrongness” of Original Sin and its lingering effects on the state of our being.
Watersong - Refreshing the Deep
© 2007 Sonja Corbitt
Watersong is a study built around the metaphor of water: living water, flowing water, moving, springing, musical, quenching water. The wisdom of Christ's picture of the Christian life becomes beautifully, refreshingly, and restoratively clear as we probe its depths.
The Bed of the Soul
© Sonja Corbitt 2004
In our graceless age we encounter people everyday, often ourselves, who wonder, "Does God really love me?" In The Bed
of the Soul we probe the ancient, mystical insights of the Song of Solomon and discover a love letter that reveals the violent passion of God.
Vow of the Nazarite
© Sonja Corbitt 2004
An archeology of the historical roots of the Nazarite vow, its purposes, prohibitions, and rewards. Each week is a study of some of the Biblical people who took this vow--Joseph, Samson, Samuel, Deborah, John the Baptist, Paul--what they experienced as a result, and how it affected their lives and ministries. Learners also discover how humbly making such a private commitment can increase effectiveness, develop spiritual influence and moral authority, and drastically deepen personal consecration.
